Le Clos des Mûriers

Emile and his wife, Mme Straus, close friend of Marcel Proust and model for certain charachters he created in The Research, built that property in 1894-1896 next to the Manoir de la Cour Brûlée, and just below Les Frémonts

From 1907 to 1914, Proust stayed during summer in Le Grand Hôtel in Cabourg, but he came sometimes (it was rare because he was ill and did not want to travel from Cabourg to Trouville) because he loved these three villas on the heights of Trouville and appreciated the hostess, Geneviève Halévy Straus)

Manoir de la Cour Brûlée

Mrs Straus rents the property during the summer 1892, when Proust stays nearby, in Les Frémonts, just 500 meters above.

She's a close friend of Marcel Proust and became, one of the models for Oriane de Guermantes, Odette and Madame Verdurin.
